Attorney General Carter Stands by the Law

IFI applauds Indiana Attorney General Stephen Carter for being proactive on the same-sex marriage issue. With marriage licenses being issued in Massachusetts, Attorney General Carter was forward thinking in his opinion on marriage licenses granted in Indiana.

Attorney General Carter issued two opinions clearly stating that the Indiana law which prohibits the issuance of same-sex marriage licenses will be enforced.
